Helping people discover how to relate to God through His Word—finding depth, meaning, and real-life application is my passion. There is nothing more satisfying than watching the “light bulb” turn on as someone grasps the life-changing truth that only the Spirit of the Living God can reveal. It's even more fulfilling when those same people begin to share what they've understood with others.
Everything I teach is anchored in my relationship with Jesus and the deep joy of knowing Him intimately.
Jeremiah 6:16 has been a guidepost for me as I've learned what it truly means to be a disciple.

I am an ordinary person following an extraordinary God. My passion is teaching, training, and developing programs and resources that bring understanding about who God is, what He is doing, and what He values. I believe that understanding fosters trust in our relationship with God and strengthens our ability to boldly walk in faith. I strive to bring spiritual concepts into physical understanding—to awaken a desire to pursue the depths of God.
My background is in graphic design and journalism, and I have been operating a business since 1997. My ministry journey began at First Covenant Church (now Twin Cities) in Rancho Cordova and has grown from there. I spent more than 10 years creating programs, content, and curriculum—teaching pastors and church leaders in the developing world how to study the Bible through Ancient Promise International, a non-denominational discipleship training ministry. |

Derek Publishing was founded in 2013 to make the curricula created by Robbie Harrington and me for international training programs through Ancient Promise International available to a broader audience. These resources are available on Amazon, or for quantity orders, please use the contact link.
The training programs and curricula have been used in East Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa, Mexico, India, and right here in the U.S. with foreign nationals. Tanzania Assemblies of God has adopted the entire A Life Devoted series, along with the Discovering God™ Training Workbook and Being Renewed, as part of their curriculum in over 70 church planting schools and six Bible colleges. Road Map Ministries
My time overseas changed me. I realized that the simplicity of the gospel and the foundational building blocks of faith weren’t just needed abroad—they were needed here, too. I needed them. And I needed to be reminded of them often.
Road Map Ministries, Inc. exists to help bring the life-changing Word of God closer to home—currently, that’s Auburn, California. I’m a member of Auburn Grace Community Church and currently work at Jessup University in the marketing department. I also teach whenever I can. |
